What It Really Means When He No Longer Says 'I Love You'

Image
Often, it isn't that anyone has fallen "out of love." It's just that as time passes and we move beyond courtship, people in relationships demonstrate their love with their own preferred love language (or a combination of love languages). If this scenario sounds familiar, it's the perfect time to figure out your own — as well as your partner's. 1. Words of affirmation When a client frets that her husband doesn't send romantic texts or say, "I love you," this clues me in that her love language is affirming words. Hearing or reading words of affection make her feel supported and cared for. If your spouse's love language is words, remember that insults are usually taken to heart and a great way to build intimacy is to verbally praise your partner and put notes in his lunch box. Wasn't it Elvis who asked for a little less conversation and a lot more action? For some people, actions speak louder than words. Doing tasks like making

 EC Boss Missing In Court

Image
The Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Charlotte Osei, was missing last week when a case in which she has sued a lawyer for defamation was called at an Accra High Court. It is unclear why the EC boss was not in court, but lawyer for the defendant, Maxwell Opoku Agyemang – who is leading some EC staff in the impeachment proceedings against Mrs. Osei – was present. Defamation Suit On July 25, 2017, Mrs Charlotte Osei sued Mr. Opoku- Agyemang for defamation after the lawyer had assisted some petitioners (EC staff) who were calling for the impeachment of the EC chair, to present a petition to President Akufo-Addo. She had claimed that there were no petitioners from the EC who were calling for her dismissal, and that the defendant was only tarnishing her image. She is pleading with the court to direct Mr. Opoku-Agyemang “to publish a retraction and an apology with the same prominence as the defamatory words on his Facebook page, as well as one publication in DAILY GRAPHIC.”

Causes Of Fire Due To Unprofessional Staff -

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has attributed causes of fire outbreaks at the various fuel stations to the quality of personnel employed to manage the facilities, as well as negligence. This was made known in a speech read on behalf of the CEO of EPA at the launch of Petroleum Week celebration by the Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMC) in Accra on Monday. This year's celebration is the second in session and is themed 'Petroleum Safety, Prepare and Prevent’.  Pressure is piling on the government to begin work on the Central Railway Line, which is considered to be one of the most crucial projects of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government as it strives to revive Ghana’s ailing railway industry. The government earlier this year shortlisted some nine firms which submitted detailed Technical and Financial proposals for the development of the Central Spine Railway Line from Kumasi to Paga by the end of March, 2018 for further evaluation. But, according to some stakeholders in the railway sector, the project appears to be “gathering dust and dragging on unduly. “The NPP government is currently in its second year and not a single railway line has been fully developed, a situation which many believe will affect the political fortunes of the party in the 2020 elections,” a staff member of the Ghana Railways Company Limited, who did not want to be named, told the DAILY HERITAGE yesterday. SUICIDE BOMBING: Couple Use Their Four Children To Attack Churches...

Image
A husband and wife used their four children in a string of deadly suicide attacks on three churches in the Indonesian city of Surabaya that left seven people dead, according to the country's ranking police official. The family included two daughters, aged 9 and 12 years old, said Head Gen. Tito Karnavian. The young girls were present when their mother detonated one of the bombs, and the couple's two teenage sons carried out a separate attack on another church. Earlier reports indicated at least 10 people died in the Sunday morning attacks, but Karnavian said during a news conference that seven victims were killed. Forty-one people, including two police officers, were hospitalized with injuries, police spokesman Frans Barung Mangera said previously. The six bombers also died, Karnavian said. Investigators believe the parents belong to Jamaah Ansharut Daulah, a terrorist group that lends its support to ISIS in Indonesia, the police general said. Through its Amaq News Agen

CHRAJ Calls For Review Of Single Spine Salary Policy

Image
The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), has called for a review of the Single Spine Salary Structure to address the wide salary disparity in the formal sector. Pastor Emmanuel Appiah-Kubi, a Principal anti-corruption officer at the Brong-Ahafo Regional Office of the CHRAJ made the call at a forum to mark this year's constitution week on Friday. Reacting to concerns at the forum in Sunyani, Pastor Appiah-Kubi expressed discomfort that the implementation of that pay policy had rather widened the salary disparity in the public sector. A police officer had earlier raised the concerns at the forum organised by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in Sunyani for officers of the Regional Police Command. Pastor Appiah-Kubi partly attributed the rise in corruption to the poor salaries and working conditions of some public officers, and stressed the need for urgent review of the pay policy. "If you compare public officers on the Art

Image

This came to light at the launch of the research report dubbed: “Coordinate, Integrate, Invest: How joint child health and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions can deliver for your country’s future”, in Accra. According to the findings, more than half of the 500,000 children die as a direct result of the use of dirty water, poor sanitation and unhygienic conditions both at home and in some health facilities. It further explained that even those who survive multiple bouts of diarrhea are left weakened and sometimes stunted, their long-term development and education compromised. However, the report mentioned that major health gains are possible to achieve if decision-makers coordinate, integrate, and invest in child health and WASH measures. It stated that modelling has found that rotavirus vaccination used to immu
