I’m Not A Bad Girl, I Only Portray Creativity – Wendy Shay

Image
She is stunning and has the curves that men like but Wendy Shay, who wants to make a mark in the music industry has refuted claims that she’s a bad girl. Born Wendy Abena Ofosuhemma Addo, Shay said the sexually suggestive acts she displays in her music videos only portrays creativity and not to fascinate men. According to Wendy Shay, despite her sexually explicit videos and how she depicts herself, she’s a strong believer of the word of God indicating that there’s no way she will accept the bad girl title from her critics. The “Bedroom Commando” hitmaker responding to claims that she is riding on the late Ebony Reigns fame said “I mean those of us behind the scene know I am not riding on her fame, but mind you if people will recall Ebony’s style they will know that she was specially groomed to do pure dancehall music, she was finding her own path, I am doing Afrobeat and Afropop”, she told Delay on the Delay Show. When asked if there could be something going on between her

Photos of female soldier who turns model when she is off duty go viral

28-year-old Lista Marie Duwyenie-Hodges is a US staff sergeant who is going against the grain normally identified with the army personnel. While military staff members are known to be rigid, private personalities, this lady is not afraid to have a ‘life’ outside the fort. Even more, the beautiful lady is also not shy when it comes to baring herself and looking good. This is because outside of her duty as a drill sergeant, she is an Instagram model and magazine cover girl. Such a tasking profession to place side by side with army duty, one might say, but Lista is doing great in both fields. After spending the day drilling recruits at her workplace in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, she puts off the uniform and slips into her ‘other life’. The beautiful model has great looks to complement the steamy clothes she puts up for the gram. And she is loved by all for her ability to dazzle many either on the field of work or off duty. This can be seen from the statement of Cristina Ric

Ban Sale Of Herbal Medicines Containing Toxic Alkaloids - Food Scientist Urges FDA

Image
The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has been urged to ban the sale of herbal medicines with preparation from certain plants containing pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA), a dangerous toxin that destroys the liver. According to a lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Technology at the Ho Technical University (HTU), Dr Emmanuel Letsyo, in spite of the poisonous nature of PA plants, certain herbal medicine producers were using them to prepare products for human consumption. He named the four common PA plants as chromolaena odorata, commonly known as ‘acheampong’, and crotalaria retusa, which is commonly referred to as Devil bean with no known local names. The rest are ageratum conyzoides (known in Twi as ‘guakuro’, in GaDangme as ‘ntumlumlu’ and in Ewe as ‘mina’ or ‘nyigbe’) and heliotropium indicum (known in Ewe as ‘koklototsu’ or ‘agama-ble’, in Twi as ‘akomfem atriko’, in Hausa as ‘kaikashin’ or ‘korama’ and GaDangme as ‘kokodenebaa’). Photo: Couple Collapse Three-Storey Building During Sex

Image
A 640-lbs man and his 450-lbs wife had a rather unusual accident Tuesday night as the floor of their apartment collapsed during a particularly intense sexual intercourse, causing the couple to fall three stories lower. Michael Davis and Theresa Walker from Liverpool were having sex in their bedroom on the third floor of an apartment building when the structure collapsed. The couple and their bed fell through three floors before bursting through a wall and ending up in a laundry room in the basement of the building. Emergency services were rapidly called on the site and they were able to extract the unlucky lovers from their uncomfortable position. Miraculously, the couple suffered only light injuries and no other residents of the building were injured as almost half of the 250-year old building collapsed. Tom Watson, another resident of the building, claims the accident was predictable and could have been avoided. “This couple had very loud sex a few times a week and the

Menzgold Customers In Trouble

Image
Nana Appiah Mensah  Menzgold Ghana Limited’s payment of extra values on its customers gold deposits appears to be in limbo. This is as a result of the confusion between the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and Menzgold Ghana Limited over SEC’s claim of irregularities in the company’s operations. In an interview with the media on Tuesday in Accra, SEC’s Deputy Director-General, Paul Ababio, indicated that the Commission (SEC) has not stopped Menzgold from paying its existing clients their dividends on the Gold Vault Market investment. According to Mr. Ababio, SEC’s directive was for Menzgold Ghana Limited “to halt doing new business.” But Menzgold is arguing that it is unable to pay dividends due to the suspension of its operations by SEC. In a statement issued by its management, Menzgold Ghana Limited explained that “the gold collectibles offered for trade by patrons of our Gold Vault Market product are subjected to our quality

Ghana, U.S. Agree Deportation Deal?

Image
The governments of Ghana and the United States of America (USA) have come to a compromise in their efforts to deport undocumented Ghanaian immigrants. This follows the U.S. government’s concern that the government of Ghana was not complying with international obligations regarding the issuance of travel documents to Ghanaians awaiting deportation. The U.S. Embassy in Accra followed up with a statement saying the U.S. will be forced to begin implementing a visa restrictions regime in accordance with their laws as a responsibility owed to the American people if the government of Ghana did not play ball. Ghana’s Ambassador to the U.S.A., Dr Baffour Adjei Bawuah told Class FM on the sidelines of the 73rd UN General Assembly on Monday, 24 September 2018 in New York that both governments have reached an agreement. “What unfortunately turned out to be some kind of a tussle was the fact that the [Ghanaian] Embassy was having a difficulty just endorsing, as it were, a documentation wh

Don’t Throw Sanitary Pads Into Waste Bins― Zoomlion

Image
The Central Regional manager of waste management company, Zoomlion, Samuel Edu, is cautioning the public to stop the disposal of used sanitary pads into zoomlion waste bins in both residential and public places. According to him, disposal of used sanitary pads and other unhealthy trash into waste containers has become a major source of worry for workers of the company in the region. A situation he says is posing a serious health threat to workers of the company. The waste manager made the remark in an interview on Adom News at a programme organised to hand over two waste container evacuation trucks, two community containers and 40 residential waste bins to the newly created Assin North District Assembly to fight the huge sanitation challenges in the area. Samuel Edu, however, cautioned residents of Assin Breku to desist from disposal of faeces, used pad and other waste materials which are likely to put the health of Zoomlion workers in risk. However, the Assin North DCE

Dead Knowledge In Our Schools; Who Is Checking The Textbooks?

Image
The era of fake news, fake data, fake videos and fake photos ought to put everyone on their toes and on guard: we simply can’t accept or act on things at their face value anymore. Students, for one, must be in a position to verify the authenticity of any given facts before they can be used to add credibility to themselves and the disciplines. Critical Thinking The goals of a Creative and Critical Thinking course I teach is as follows: The information age and the Internet allow us to gather various materials from across the world quickly and easily. Information, however, must be checked for accuracy, validated, understood, processed and sorted out for its implications before use. Learners - and the various practitioners in every profession - must be in a position to identify inaccuracies, fallacies, rumours and opinions before attempting their own informed judgements or empathetic responses. The raging noise fights – amidst the tussle of fact, fiction, outright lies and de

More People May Die From Air Pollution In Ghana – WHO Warns

Image
The World Health Organisation (WHO), has warned that that air pollution-related deaths are expected to rise in Ghana as urban population and vehicular numbers increase. The International Programs Officer for the WHO, Gordon Danku, in an interview with Citi News explained that air pollution is directly related to the population of people within a vicinity. He said although air in Accra is far more polluted than that of other less polluted towns or cities in the country, the situation is such that even with Accra, there are certain places with higher pollution rates as a result of the nature of the area. “If you look at the pollution being experienced in Accra, it is not the same in the Upper West Region. Even if you take Accra, the pollution being experienced in the Accra Metropolitan area is not the same amount of pollution the people of Dodowa are experiencing, which means population is directly related to the amount of pollution that we are witnessing. Accra is more of a com

6 Ways To Cut Wedding Costs, According To Wedding Planners

Image
Weddings are expensive events any way you slice it, unless you’re willing to cut some major corners ? like having a cash bar instead of an open one or getting married on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday. But fortunately, there are some small ways to reduce costs without sacrificing fun or comfort. Where couples decide to spend and scrimp really depends on their personal preferences. For this reason, making sweeping recommendations about how to cut costs can be tricky because different couples prioritize different aspects of the wedding. “My general advice to all my clients, regardless of budget, is this: Don’t spend money on things that you don’t think are important,” Lori Stephenson, founder of Lola Event Productions in Chicago, told HuffPost. “If the tradition of cutting a wedding cake isn’t important to you, or you don’t like cake and prefer other types of desserts, don’t pay for a cake. The only thing you really have to have is the marriage license, right? The rest is just gr

Why Uganda Is The 'World's Fittest Country

President Yoweri Museveni    Uganda is the most physically active nation in the world, according to a recent report by the World Health Organization. The BBC's Patience Atuhaire went to find out why. Jennifer Namulembwa spends an hour-and-a-half walking to work, five days a week. From Namuwongo on the south-eastern end of Uganda's capital, Kampala, she navigates her way past the railway line and crosses the treacherous eight-lane stretch of the highway. She skirts the plush Kololo hill, finally getting to Kamwokya suburb by 9am. At work, the 34-year-old spends two hours on her feet, cleaning a three-floor building. The rest of her day is spent running errands for her boss. And just after 5pm, she traces the same route, to return home. "I'm used to it so I don't feel the distance. I never wear nice shoes to work. I would also like to enjoy the good life sometimes; ride in a car or on a motorcycle," she chu
