Woman, 40, stabs man for impregnating daughter

A 40-year-old woman, Abena Marry, a trader, has allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old man whose name was only given as Suleiman in the Brong Ahafo region.

The trader reportedly stabbed Suleiman for impregnating her 14-year-old daughter.

An eye-witness told Rainbow Radio that the suspect stormed the residence of Suleiman and rained curses on him.

The situation he revealed led to a confrontation where the suspect allegedly drew the knife she had kept under her dress to stab Suleiman in the back of his shoulder.

Abena Marry is said to have justified her action because her only daughter who she expected to become a responsible person has currently being deprived from going to school because of the pregnancy.

She is currently on the run whereas the victim is on admission at the hospital battling for his life.

17-year-old kidnapped girl reunited with family

A 17-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped in Ho on January 21, around Stanbic Bank where she went to pay her school fees has been rescued and reunited with her family. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Anthony Danso, Ho Municipal Police Commander told the GNA that the girl, name withheld, was found by her uncle the next day in Aflao near ECOBANK, where the uncle worked. The Commander said the Police was informed on January 21, 2019, that the girl, a student of Sonrise Christian High School in Ho failed to return home after she was sent to pay her school fees at the Bank around 0900 hours.
