The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has eased the restrictions imposed on religious activities in the country. He announced this on Sunday, May 31, 2020, during his tenth address to the nation on measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus disease.  The Information Minister for Ghana, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has stated that  the government of Ghana has given permission to government of Kuwait to deport Ghanaian illegally staying in their country. The young girl who planted the Apple tree which has gone viral on social media after it started bearing fruits died some five years ago, family sources have told Starr News. Nana Ama Asantewaa, according to reports, planted the seed despite the popular perception that the fruit is an exotic breed and does not grow in Ghana. Some youth of Adabraka Odorna in Accra who have been angered by the death of a fellow resident have vandalised the Adabraka police station. The residents blamed the police for the death of a man who fell and drowned in the Odaw drain. Scores of the residents besieged the police station with the body of the deceased man after the incident at the drain. They chanted angrily to express their displeasure over the issue. Dozens of coronavirus patients held a protest outside a treatment centre in the north-eastern Nigerian state of Gombe, saying the authorities were not taking good care of them. The patients complained of lack of drugs and proper feeding. They mingled with members of the community during the Tuesday evening demonstration and blocked a nearby highway in the village of Kwadon - about 8km (five miles) from the state capital. The state's health commissioner, Ahmed Gana, told the BBC that the patients were asymptomatic and did not require drugs. The authorities also deny the allegation about a lack of proper feeding.
