Veteran Ghanaian movie actress , Janet Ackun (Mama Jane) has called on parents and teachers to allow students to explore their talents. 

According to her, every student and young person is bestowed with a talent, and depending on the environment in which they are brought up, there is at least one skill that they can be good at. 

She said discovering talent in young people at an early stage can help them achieve their dreams, both in and out of school. 

 Mrs. Janet Ackun explained that ,when talents are discovered early, they can be of benefit to the students at the moment as well as when they leave school. 

She mentioned this in an exclusive interview with Angel TV at the sidelines of the 5th graduation ceremony of Annaz Preparatory school, at Ablekuma Joma. 

Some of the students also  asked parents to support them nature their talents .

Meanwhile, the proprietor of Annaz Preparatory school Mr Antony Lazio has urge teachers and parents to pay critical attention to maths and science education. 

According to him,Science and maths have proven to be the must failed subjects by students, hence the need for to push our children to get the understanding for a better future.

17-year-old kidnapped girl reunited with family

A 17-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped in Ho on January 21, around Stanbic Bank where she went to pay her school fees has been rescued and reunited with her family. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Anthony Danso, Ho Municipal Police Commander told the GNA that the girl, name withheld, was found by her uncle the next day in Aflao near ECOBANK, where the uncle worked. The Commander said the Police was informed on January 21, 2019, that the girl, a student of Sonrise Christian High School in Ho failed to return home after she was sent to pay her school fees at the Bank around 0900 hours. He said the Police started working with the girl’s family and was informed that someone was chatting on Whatsapp with the girl’s phone and showed pictures of the girl tied to a plastic chair ready for rituals.
