Newly Appointed Captain for Madina Republicans, Osmanu Bilal, is very optimistic of leading Madina Republicans into the middle league of GARFA division Two League this season

The young hardworking midfielder aims to take Madina Republicans to higher heights this season

 According to Osman Bilal he is excited to  be named the Captain,and he will do his best to help the team achieve its target this season and hopefully exceed them by gaining promotion to the Division one League

 They have excellent technical members and a strong squad so with the help of Allah they will hit the required target 

Osmanu Bilal played with the likes of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Yaw Baafi who have made good names for themselves since joining Hearts of Oak from Madina Republicans 

He is proud to have played with them at Republicans and keep learning from them everyday to improve his skills

Madina Republicans lost their first game  of the season away to Kotoku Shining Stars 

The Kun faya kun boys gave their all to savage a point but luck wasn’t on their side the game ended 2 1 in favor of Shining stars 

“ we fought hard to get the result but that’s part of football sometimes you win sometimes you lose but we will try to correct our mistakes and go all out for 3 points in our next game". Osman Bilal said

Madina Republicans will play their first home fixture vrs Koans Fc at their home ground Madina Zongo Astroturf this coming Thursday on the 10th February 2022.

17-year-old kidnapped girl reunited with family

A 17-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped in Ho on January 21, around Stanbic Bank where she went to pay her school fees has been rescued and reunited with her family. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Anthony Danso, Ho Municipal Police Commander told the GNA that the girl, name withheld, was found by her uncle the next day in Aflao near ECOBANK, where the uncle worked. The Commander said the Police was informed on January 21, 2019, that the girl, a student of Sonrise Christian High School in Ho failed to return home after she was sent to pay her school fees at the Bank around 0900 hours. He said the Police started working with the girl’s family and was informed that someone was chatting on Whatsapp with the girl’s phone and showed pictures of the girl tied to a plastic chair ready for rituals.
