Concern youth of Weija Gbawe Constituency call CODA boss to order, they made this known to public through a press statement.

Friends of the press, Ladies and gentlemen, 

We wish to bring to the attention of the general public and the NPP fraternity, particularly in Weija-Gbawe, the extent to which gross disrespect and selfish interest in the part of some individuals have taken root in the constituency. 

The conduct and behaviour of some top members in Weija-Gbawe Constituency defy political logic and reasoning. 

It is established that, some constituency executives are prosecuting an agenda within the  constituency  to paint a negative picture about the sitting Member of Parliament, Hon Tina Mensah. This is affecting the party and development of the constituency. 

Ladies and gentlemen, gross show of disrespect and greed on the part of these individuals embolden the opposition NDC in Weija-Gbawe Constituency they are close to take over the seat. 

It is also established that, the CEO of the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shiabu is holding secret meetings with some party executives, coordinators and polling station executives to clandestinely work out an exit plan against the Sitting Member of Parliament. 

It is also  true  that, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shiabu is claiming ownership  projects facilitated by the sitting Member of Parliament, Hon. Tina Naa Ayeley Mensah to derail the political fortunes of the party in the constituency. 

Ladies and gentlemen, the Concerned youth in Weija-Gbawe constituency wish to call on the regional executives to call Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaibu and his cohorts to order since their actions are affront to the dictates of the party as enshrined in the party constitution. 

Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaibu is not a registered voter in Weija-Gbawe Constituency and has not contributed in anyway meaningful to aid the course and growth of the party in the said constituency. 

Again, lawyer Jerry Ahmed is using his appointment as CODA CEO to create confusion and disrespect to the party hierarchy in Weija-Gbawe Constituency. 

The sitting Member of Parliament holds unprecedented electoral records from 2016 to 2020. This has translated to some votes increase of over 12,212 ahead of the NDC in Weija-Gbawe Constituency. 

The unflinching collaboration between the MCE Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor and the MP, Hon Tina Mensah is superb which must be continued to enable the party win the seat again in 2024. 

We are calling on the party's National Executives to protect any performing MP who is a women  in Parliament.

17-year-old kidnapped girl reunited with family

A 17-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped in Ho on January 21, around Stanbic Bank where she went to pay her school fees has been rescued and reunited with her family. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Anthony Danso, Ho Municipal Police Commander told the GNA that the girl, name withheld, was found by her uncle the next day in Aflao near ECOBANK, where the uncle worked. The Commander said the Police was informed on January 21, 2019, that the girl, a student of Sonrise Christian High School in Ho failed to return home after she was sent to pay her school fees at the Bank around 0900 hours. He said the Police started working with the girl’s family and was informed that someone was chatting on Whatsapp with the girl’s phone and showed pictures of the girl tied to a plastic chair ready for rituals.
